EXTENDED DEADLINE: PLEASE READ Ticket informational pamphlets for non- football Varsity O members will be sent via US mail and e-mail sometime during the month of May. The deadline for non-football members to go on-line and purchase tickets has been extended to June 12, 2009. If you do not have a computer or e-mail address, consider asking a trusted family member, friend or former teammate to assist you or visit your local library for free access to computers and the internet.

Big Ten Baseball Tournament to be Hosted in Columbus
For the first time in 15 years, the Big Ten Baseball Tournament will be held at a neutral field - and that field will be none other than brand-new Huntington Park in Downtown Columbus. The 2009 Big Ten Conference will bring its six best teams to Huntington Park and the Arena District from May 20-23 to battle for the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

2009 Golf Outing - September 11, 2009
This year due to scheduling conflicts, the Scarlet course was not available and as a result, the Varsity O annual golf outing will be held at Champions Golf Course (formerly Winding Hollow CC). This is an original Donald Ross course that has been acquired by the City of Columbus. Our host, Head Pro Steve Groves, is a former All American at Ohio State and member of The Ohio State University Athletics Hall of Fame.

New Letterwinner Tradition
It was 1878 when scarlet and gray were adopted as the official colors of The Ohio State University. Since then, student-athletes have been proudly wearing the scarlet and gray as they competed on the field, on the court and everywhere in between. Today, the Varsity sports program at OSU is respected as one of the most comprehensive in all of college athletics.

Now that official signing day has come and gone and the Buckeyes have reloaded with 25 new recruits, it's time to start thinking about spring football, which will run throughout the month of April and commence with the annual Spring Game, set this year for April 25 in Ohio Stadium.

2009 Baseball Outlook
The Ohio State baseball team has been to every NCAA tournament in an odd numbered year for the past 18 years. Dating back to the 1991 season, the Buckeyes competed in the NCAA tournament every odd year since – 1993-95-97-99-01-03-05-07 – for a total of nine odd year appearances.

2009 Golf Outlook:
Jim Brown, with 31 NCAA appearances, 11 Top 10 NCAA finishes including a national championship in 1979, 17 Big Ten Conference championships, 40 All-Americans and 93 all-Big Ten honorees, will call it a coaching career after this season, his 36th as coach of the Buckeyes and his 42nd year as a head coach.
