In the past 12 months we lost at least two of our members at a young age to heart disease.  Larry Zelina and Todd Bell were both outstanding student-athletes during their Ohio State years and both were great examples of representing Ohio State in their professional, business and family lives.

There is plenty of data that supports healthy life choices, exercise and early detection as deterrents to losses like this so early in one’s life.  The Varsity “O” Board has a belief that we need to serve our members in any way possible.  We recently examined an early detection scanning technology for our members to consider and offer a “members only” discount as an incentive to help identify problems before they become life changing.

Former Head Football Coach, Earle Bruce had an early detection scan done and credits this procedure with saving his life.  Coach Bruce has a testimonial on the website for HealthWise Wellness Diagnostic Centers.

While this is currently only available at the Columbus, Ohio locations of HealthWise, we hope that all of our members will consider making good decisions in their life choices and consider all of their options for early detection.
