Men’s Hockey: Former Buckeyes in Action in the Stanley Cup Playoffs |

Three former Ohio State men’s hockey players are in action in the 2008 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. Dave Steckel (2001-04) and his Washington Capitals are taking on R.J. Umberger (2001-03) and the Philadelphia Flyers in a first-round series. Rod Pelley (2002-05) is on the New Jersey Devils’ playoff roster in their series vs. the New York Rangers. more >> |

Rain did not deter fans from setting an Ohio State spring game attendance record for the third season in a row. A crowd of 76,346 braved the soggy conditions in Ohio Stadium to watch the Scarlet team defeat the Gray, 20-7, in the 2008 Spring Game. more >> |

ATTENTION: Men's LAX Alumni |

We would like to invite all our Alumni to join us in forming a Tunnel of Pride down on the field in THE SHOE before the Denver game. Alumni choosing to participate in the OSU M. Lacrosse Tunnel of Pride for the Denver game in The Shoe will meet at 10:30 AM at the top of the home team ramp near gate 32. The entry to the field must be in the southwest corner. Formation of the tunnel will be at 10:50 AM after the team heads to the locker room and returns for starting line-ups and National Anthem.
ONLY Alumni are welcome….NO Family or Friends will be allowed access to the field. Admission for the Lacrosse and Spring Football double header is $5. There is no gate list for this event (current OSU players only). All alumni must have a ticket to the event for entry as we will not have any field or sideline passes available for Alumni for the game. We hope that you can join us for this special event.

Help the OSU Lacrosse Team Break the National Attendance Record |

Coach Breschi and his staff are expecting a great game against Denver, but also have their eyes on a new national attendance record for the game. The current lacrosse game attendance record is 52,004. Please mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, April 19th prior to the annual Spring Game to cheer on the Lacrosse Buckeyes and set a new record! won big. That starter is a good one: senior Jamar Butler,

Tony White clearly understands the meaning of hard work. For over a decade, White has faced the fiercest competitors – first on the court and later in the courtroom. As a power-forward for the Buckeyes during the 1986-89 seasons, White made his presence known, scoring 672 career points and averaging 3.4 rebounds as a two-year starter.

Relations Coordinator, Tammy Savage, a former
Ohio State student-athlete from Upper Arlington,
Ohio, has been in this new role for less than three
months, but she is already laying the foundation of
the new position and is ready to make Varsity O the

Big Game Drawing Winner Announced |

On October 10, 2007, Gene Smith, Director of Athletics and Marc Froebel, President of Men’s Varsity O drew names for the 2007 Big Game Drawing. With more than 250 entries vying for two pairs of tickets to the Wisconsin game, the lucky winner and recipient of both pairs was Dr. Ed Leeds of Torrance, CA. Congratulations, Ed!
In total, over $2,500 was raised which will go towards the continued endowment of the athletic scholarships at The Ohio State University. Thank you for everyone’s participation. We ARE Athletes Helping Atheletes |
